Cave Of The Yellow Dog < PREVIOUS MOVIE | NEXT MOVIE >
Mongolia / Germany 2005 • Directed by Byambasuren Davaa • Feature Film • 93 minutes

A Mongolian nomad family find themselves in disagreement when the oldest daughter, Nansal, finds a dog and brings it home. Believing that it is responsible for attacking his sheep, her father refuses to allow her to keep it. When it’s time for the family to move on, Nansal must decide whether to defy her father and take her new friend with them. “Cave Of The Yellow Dog” shows visually stunning vistas of the Mongolian countryside, where the family lives in a Yurt. This film is a simple and elegant work of art. It has similar aesthetic qualities to last year’s festival film “Postman in the Mountains.”
