USA 2005 • Directed by George Sanford Brown • Feature Film • 87 minutes
A lonely widower fulfills the dreams of strangers by bringing a sense of self-respect to a crime-infested community. When his wife dies, she leaves her wealthy husband William (James Earl Jones) with a last request that he turn an empty building they own into a community reading room. He acquires books that speak to the diversity of the community, and cajoles volunteer teachers to apply creative ways to help some of the youngsters. An inspiring and uplifting film for the family which proves how one person can help so many others.
